Road to Rod Laver

It's Saturday the 20th of June 2009, 5:45am. The journey to P!nk has begun. Daring to be different, Bec and Cindy decide to travel from Adelaide to Melbourne to see P!nk in concert. This is going to be a weekend to remember...

"So Cindy, what should we do for 6 hours in Melbourne while we wait to be able to check in?"

"Hmm....I'm not sure.....let's catch the trusty Skybus in and we'll plan on the way..."

It's 8:30am. First stop... Skybus dropoff - DFO.

Did you know that DFO only opens at 10:00am on a Saturday? Ok so, we didn't... So we were left to hover around the complex until trading hours being.

"OMG best idea ever! Let's buy anti-swine flu face masks!! And let's take photos at every Melbourne attraction while wearing the face mask!"

Umm... Is there really a Coles below DFO? How come everyone else seems to know where they're going? Where are the signs? And why are we in a public car park?? How did we get here?

Ok so our awesome idea of buying face masks didn't eventuate. We wouldn't find a pharmacy anywhere! Coles was closed too. Damn you weekend trading hours!

Back to DFO...

"Bec, check out these dudes, are they stylin' or what?"

"Um, Cindy, they're not real."

"Oh."

"Cos I can, and it's 9am in the morning, this place doesn't open until 10am and there's no-one around."

Although how embarrassing, someone from Dianna Ferrari actually saw us taking photos. We tried to pretend that it was the normal thing to do. Yeah so she remembered us hours later. "So, good photo session ladies?" "Um, yeah..."

"OMG, they don't have heads!! What the hell kind of shop is this?!"
